WELLNESS OPPORTUNITIES
at Dr. Hugh’s Dental P.C.

Guided Biofilm Therapy

Using a specialized delivery unit called AirFlow, our hygienist utilizes Erythritol powder under light air pressure and warm water, followed by Piezon ultrasonics when indicated. This removes the harmful biofilm from the teeth and gums in a healthy and gentle manner providing a superior cleaning experience.

Bacteria Reduction

With our lasers we can reduce harmful bacteria that is present at your gums prior to your cleaning. This reduces the risk of these harmful bacteria from getting into your blood stream.

Snoring Relief

A specialized laser, known as SOLEA, is used to tighten and raise up the soft palate and uvula, resulting in snoring reduction.

Photo Bio-Modulation

With our lasers we can promote better soft tissue healing and health. The laser energy is delivered at the cellular level. This stimulates the cell’s mitochondria to produce ATP, the energy molecule of life. This specialized adjunctive procedure may be used on TMJ, facial and neck muscles, gum tissue, and post restorative or surgical treatment sites.

Preventive Caries Management

We can now stop early decay with use of Silver Diamine Fluoride, glass ionomer, Curodont, or Fluoride polish. Stop decay and avoid fillings with this non-invasive technique.

Preventive Care in Littleton, NH

At Dr. Hugh’s Dental, we believe preventive care is the foundation of lifelong oral health. Since 2006, our team has combined advanced technology, clinical expertise, and personalized treatment plans to help patients maintain healthier teeth, healthier gums, and more predictable long-term outcomes.

Research continues to show that many patients benefit from more frequent preventive care than the traditional six-month schedule. For patients with dental implants, periodontal concerns, or a history of dental disease, regular hygiene visits can play an important role in controlling harmful bacteria, reducing inflammation, and identifying concerns before they become larger problems.

Our Advanced Hygiene Services Include:

Guided Biofilm Removal

Using modern technology, we precisely target and remove harmful biofilm—the bacterial layer responsible for cavities, gum disease, and implant complications—while improving comfort and patient understanding.

Laser-Assisted Bacterial Reduction

Dental lasers help reduce harmful bacteria below the gumline and support a healthier oral environment as part of comprehensive periodontal care.

Dental Implant Maintenance

Dental implants require specialized maintenance to protect the surrounding tissues and support long-term function. Our team provides focused care designed to help preserve the health and longevity of implant restorations.

Custom Nocturnal Occlusal Guards

Nighttime grinding and clenching can contribute to tooth wear, fractures, jaw discomfort, and implant complications. Custom-fabricated guards help protect your smile while supporting long-term oral health.

Professional Teeth Whitening

Our in-office whitening treatments provide a safe, effective way to brighten your smile with noticeable results under professional supervision.

Early Cavity Detection & Conservative Treatment

Advanced diagnostic tools help identify developing areas of decay before they become larger concerns, allowing for more conservative treatment whenever possible.

Prevention Backed by Technology

From advanced hygiene techniques and laser therapy to digital diagnostics and implant-focused care, our goal is simple: help patients maintain healthier smiles through earlier detection, proactive treatment, and personalized preventive care.

Whether you are maintaining natural teeth, caring for dental implants, or looking to improve your long-term oral health, our hygiene team is committed to delivering exceptional care in a comfortable, modern environment.
